Video blogging is called vlogging. The process entails uploading video to your website, and linking to it in your blog. The video is viewed when the reader clicks on the link – directly from your blog. Vlogging gives you more options than blogging when it comes to exposure. For instance, you cannot list your blog on iTunes, but you can list your vlog in their directory, giving you exposure to about twenty million people! Vlogging can be done with many different types of video files, such as Windows Media, Real Media, Quick Time, MPEG, or Flash. In order to start vlogging, you will of course need a blog, a digital camcorder or web cam, a microphone, and video software. You can use Windows Movie Maker, which comes standard with Windows XP, but you won't be able to make FLV or SWF files with Movie Maker. You can vlog even if you are using a hosted blog, like Blogger. Simply use a site that hosts videos, like Google Videos or You Tube. You can sign up for |
